With bombing continuing across the Middle East, a group of EU countries have asked the European Commission for help repatriating citizens stranded by the conflict.

Early on Thursday, Israel struck targets in Lebanon and said it intercepted missiles fired from Iran, as a conflict triggered by coordinated US and Israeli strikes continued to widen across the Middle East.
