His office stated that the heir-to the throne traveled to Rzeszow, in southeast Poland, to meet Mariusz Blaszczak (Defence Minister), and to speak with members of the Polish defense force and British troops stationed there.

Following Russia’s invasion, the NATO builds up strength on its eastern flank. The British are part of that NATO deployment.

The Prince of Wales will travel to Warsaw after the military engagements to visit an abandoned office block that has been transformed into an accommodation center for 300 Ukrainian women and children who fled war.

The prince will place a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Polish capital on Thursday. This is where his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, laid a wreath when they visited Poland in 1996. He then meets with President Andrzej Dzura of Poland.

He said: "Tomorrow, when I meet President Duda, I’ll repeat the deep relationship shared between our two nations, and underline my continued support, gratitude, to the Polish people."

William’s trip to Ukraine, his first since 2017 when he traveled there with Kate, will end with a visit to a local food hall. He will be greeting young Ukrainian refugees settled in Warsaw.
